Frog OTK
So there are a lot of people saying that the person who won Worlds with Frog OTK didn't win with Frog OTK. Well that's true...for the finals ONLY.
There were still 5 rounds of Swiss, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals in which he could've won with the OTK.
So if people are using this as an excuse, then don't listen to them.

USA Gets 2nd
*sigh* Can the US ever win a Worlds? Just one?
I dunno what's worse. Getting 2nd at Worlds or losing the Finals to Frog OTK.

September 2010 Ban List
I've seen a few rumored ones, but there's been no proof that any of them are real.
TCG needs Sabers hit.
OCG needs Infernities and Blackwings hit.
What will happen though is up for debate? Will the TCG be thrown to the side or will it actually be considered? I don't know, but we'll probably find out within the next week.

Pot of Duality
Pot of Duality is probably the most treasured card in Duelist Revolution.
To me, two major counters to it stand out.
1. Thunder King Rai-Oh (stops it from being played)
2. Mind Crush (since the opponent shows you the card you can easily call it)
In fact, for the rest of the format, I feel that these 2 cards should be played in almost any deck (the main exception is Thunder King Rai-Oh in Infernities).

Machine Emperors
Decks that they can work with:
1. Malefic
2. Scrap
3. Cloudians
Since all three of those decktypes have self-destructing effects.
Plus, Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity has two pretty good effects (absorbing a Synchro once per turn + negating a Spell once per turn) to go along with those 2500/2500 stats.

Dark Desertapir
works well with Slip of Fortune. And D.D. Trap Hole.
Just saying.

Going First
...is very crucial. Never give up the opportunity to go first.
Going first allows you to set up with those 6 opening cards. It also makes your opponent have to play to your setup, giving you a slight advantage in that sense as well.
Open up with a good 6 cards and a nice opening setup, and you've got a pretty good shot at winning. Open up with neither, and things might not look good for you this game.
Which is why TCG decks like X-Sabers, Gladiator Beasts, and Blackwings are so good. Sure all three can open up with a nice setup. But they can do it consistently. Sabers play at least 4 different monsters that setup well (Giant Rat, XX-Saber Emmersblade, XX-Saber Darksoul and Sangan). Gladiator Beasts can set up well with their Spell/Trap lineup, especially with all of their defensive traps. And Blackwings can set up well with Icarus Attack and/or Black Whirlwind.
But they can also play well if they have to go second, which is what makes them stand out.
Also, that means that going first Game 1 is important. Which means that the dice roll to determine who actually starts Game 1 becomes important.

Draw!!!
So...welcome to my blog, entitled "The Random Mind of a Duelist".
So why did I make this blog? Mainly because I felt like it. No real other reason. I enjoy writing and I enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh!, so I said to myself "I'll make a blog. Just because."
And why did I entitle it "The Random Mind of a Duelist"? Because as a duelist and as a person, I'm really random when it comes to my choices, whether they be card choices or choices outside the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!. I can be really innovative at times, so that adds to the randomness.
This (hopefully) should be an interesting blog to whoever reads it. Hope you all get something out of this.
